All I know is that Don Diego Vasquez Borrego was the Escribiano de Zacatecas – and that he was Don Jose’s father – you may want to research Miguel Munoz Borrego
He studied the Borrego line – I only know as it pertains to Vidaurri –

Don Jose first entered Coahuila in 1741
He was already older – so we can say he was born in the late 1600’s –

Our Vasquez Borrego came to New Spain in the late 1600’s – marriages or children born in Spain after 1730 I think have nothing to do with us, actually I think Manuela was born in 1723 – and they were all born in New Spain – so let’s cut off the date by 1701 – the only child of Diego Vasquez Borrego born in Spain was Juan, and if he had more before him – after that they were all born in Mexico(New Spain) in the early 1700’s – Manuela was the youngest 1723.
Look up Jose Antonio Esquibel too, he is a borrego on both sides, through Texas and New Mexico – related to both Diego and Jose Vasquez Borrego, brothers, he has a website with extensive research. All I cared about was the Vidaurri….but the Borrego fascinates me, its where we get our character from.
